
Mr. Kirney is a Building Project Officer at CanmetEnergy, Natural Resources Canada. He works on building simulation to optimize energy performance, energy upgrade costs, and the development and modification of energy simulation software and related tools. He is currently helping to develop the Building Technology Analysis Platform (BTAP) which automates building energy simulation and applying BTAP and cloud computing to estimate the energy and cost of applying the 2011, 2015, 2017, and 2020 versions of the Canadian National Energy Code for Buildings.
