Dr. Hamed H. Saber is currently working as the Deputy of the Prince Saud bin Thuniyan Research Center and Professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at Jubail University College, Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.  Also, he has work experience at the National Research Council of Canada, and the Institute for Space and Nuclear Power Studies and Chemical and Nuclear Engineering Department at the University of New Mexico, USA.  He holds a PhD from the Department of Chemical and Nuclear Engineering at University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA (GPA: 4.0/4.0). His areas of interest include building science, building envelope and structure, Heat, Air and Moisture (HAM) transport, CFD, static energy conversion using thermoelectrics, electronic cooling, and numerical modeling using finite element methods. His publications (cited over 2,690 times with google scholar h-index of 28) have included one book, four book chapters, 57 journal paper, 67 refereed conference papers, and 112 client & research reports.  Over the course of his career, he received several awards.  Most recently, his latest work in assessing the energy performance of building envelopes has led to the development of the user-friendly evaluation, optimization and design tool for assessing the energy performance of reflective enclosed airspaces in building envelopes called “Reflective Airspace Tool”.
